We use documented manufacturer information, specialist sources and other available evidence, and we make a clear distinction between what a source actually supports and what would only be an assumption. Not every product we write about has been physically tested, and we say so when that matters.
Evidence and uncertainty
Hat terminology is not always consistent, sizing systems vary between brands, and product specifications can change.
Rather than turn incomplete information into a confident answer, we flag uncertainty, explain approximate conversions and tell you when a fit conclusion depends on the specific model rather than the number on the size label.
